Sure, COVID deprives us of company. But what's worse is that it has also stolen the joy of solitude...
of finishing mundane tasks and taking solitary walks
of enjoying a few raindrops on your face
of having a bad hair day because of that
of taking shelter at a random store that leads to a purchase - something you didn't really need
of listening to old favourites that transport you to another era
of missing old friends and acquaintances
and even times that weren't so good (but were still better than some days now)
of blaming the rickshaw wala for taking the longer route deliberately
I didn't know I missed myself so much.
Thank you, Today.
